  • Simple systems and processes benefit you during turnover, as it isn’t difficult to pass on responsibilities if they are easy to understand. Pursue businesses that are simple and boring but deliver exceptional results.
  • Business owners who dislike doing “boring” work and are distracted and chase down new, exciting, shiny objects usually deliver subpar results.
  • Moving from “good to great” and “great to exceptional” takes a lot of time, effort, repetition, and going through the “boring” things that feel as if they don’t make any progress.
