Healthcare Boss,
We hope you’ve had an excellent week this week. As the summer season is beginning to come to a close, I thought now would be a good time to discuss with you six business ideas that can help you start thinking about how you can become a healthcare entrepreneur.
1. Healthcare Coach or Consultant
As a healthcare professional, you have a lot of expertise to share with the world. Why not make a business out of it?
Healthcare consulting is like being a personal trainer for your clients, only you’re training them with your healthcare expertise. What is the difference between a coach and a consultant? Consultants are experts in a niche that guide clients on how to be successful and assist them during their life-changing journey. Coaches guide a client on their journey but allow the client to achieve massive self-development in the process. Where consultants tell their clients exactly how they can make their achievements, coaches assist their clients in making decisions and taking the steps toward achievement.
The major difference between the two is that coaches assist clients while they grow on their own devices, but consultants give specific advice to aid clients in their journey toward success. With all of that being said, coaching and consulting can be used interchangeably to guide a client to success.
As a healthcare consultant and coach myself, I share my business expertise with clients by counseling them on how they can own and operate their own healthcare business. My YouTube channel, Jason A. Duprat, is just one of the many platforms I use to spread my knowledge and grow my consulting business.

Although your business may start small, once you have honed your craft as a coach and/or consultant you can transition to a more scalable model. What this means is that instead of only working with clients one-on-one, you could create online courses that include group coaching. This model allows for substantial growth far beyond what the one-on-one model allows for.
2. Healthcare Influencer
Right now, we live in an era of the internet and digital media. You can capitalize on this by becoming a healthcare influencer. The key is to create content through videos, blogs, podcasts, etc. to spread knowledge and inform the public. Oftentimes, this can be done in an entertaining and less-formal way to connect with your audience and inspire others.
There are a variety of platforms you can utilize such as YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, Facebook, and Tik Tok. Keep in mind that different platforms can cater to different demographics and using a combination of platforms could be helpful for you.
For example, I have found Facebook groups to work well for my healthcare business to grow an online community, whereas YouTube works well to share my business knowledge in an engaging way and publish my podcast in video format.
The Healthcare Entrepreneur Academy Podcast is a show dedicated to sharing healthcare entrepreneurial expertise with guest hosts who are business leaders or healthcare experts. My goal for each episode is to inspire, motivate, and educate current and future healthcare entrepreneurs.
One of my most recent podcast episodes, Episode #266, features Katherine Saunders, Co-Founder of Intellihealth, as we discuss innovative technology to improve patient care.
3. IV Therapy Practice Start-up
Intravenous nutritional therapy is an increasingly growing market and IV therapy practice start-ups let you tap into this growing market while offering a service that can help optimize a patient’s health and wellness.

4. Provide Ketamine Therapy
Ketamine therapy has had groundbreaking results for psychiatric symptom relief as well as pain reduction. As a novel, but often third or fourth-line treatment method, ketamine therapy can benefit patients with chronic pain, depression, PTSD, and anxiety even when traditional options have failed.
Becoming a ketamine provider means you can provide patients with life-altering therapy. As a ketamine provider you not only have the chance to earn a great income, but you can reclaim your schedule while positively affecting your patients’ health. And the best part is that it can be done completely on your terms.

5. Medspa or Aesthetics Practice
A medical spa, or medspa, includes aesthetics services such as microneedling, botox, liposuction, laser hair removal, and more. There is a wide variety of service options you can provide with an aesthetics business.
The medspa industry is fast-growing with new technological discoveries paving the way for breakthrough services. Additionally, there will always be a need for aesthetics services as many people find value in “perfect physique” services.
With an aesthetics practice, you can achieve freedom while helping patients feel and look great.

6. Private Practice
Opening a private practice gives you the opportunity to leverage your existing health knowledge and skills. Your education, background, and expertise can bring value as you share it with patients.
The main goal of a private practice is to improve the lives of patients and boost the health of your community. Benefits of owning a private practice include having flexibility and control and the ability to work more closely with your patients.
2022 is the time to expand on your opportunities, and considering these six business ideas is a good place to start. Are you ready to become a healthcare entrepreneur and transform your life?
I hope this information has helped you gain knowledge about healthcare businesses or, at least, inspired you to look further into entrepreneur opportunities. There are many things to consider when launching a business, but making the choice to pursue entrepreneurship is a step in the right direction.
Cheers,
